Student Employment Job Fair Recap

The Spring 2026 Student Employment Job Fair brought together 26 employers seeking to hire students for summer positions and the upcoming fall semester. Notably, this was the first year we hosted more on-campus departments than off-campus employers, highlighting strong campus engagement in student hiring.

We were also proud to welcome our first event sponsor Gigworx. We extend a sincere thank you for their support and shared commitment to the importance of student employment during college.

This year’s fair was held in the Student Wellness Center for the first time, offering a new space for connection and engagement. We also shifted the timing of the event from the beginning of the semester in January to the week following spring break, to better align with students seeking summer employment and preparing for fall opportunities. This adjustment allowed students to network earlier for positions, as many roles fill quickly.

To enhance the student experience, attendees who checked in were entered into a raffle, with two winners selected.

If you weren't able to attend this year's event, we encourage you to explore current opportunities on our websiteHire-A-Bobcat and Gigworx!

The Doors Closed… But the Opportunities Opened

The 2026 Spring Career Fair showcased the power of in-person connections for students and employers alike. Over two days, 1,727 students engaged with more than 230 employers, creating meaningful connections that are already translating into internships and full-time opportunities. As one student shared, “I made real connections and lined up my summer internship options.”

The newly expanded two-day format, along with collaborative networking events hosted in partnership with the Colleges of Agriculture, Business, and Engineering, created powerful spaces for connection. Students took part in 2,659 event sessions in total, including 932 who returned for multiple sessions to maximize engagement with employers.

The impact continued beyond the fair itself. The following day, 126 students participated in full-time interviews, several with multiple organizations, and some received offers on Interview Day. Many others have since embarked on hiring processes, clear evidence that when Bobcats connect directly with employers, opportunity follows.

Students now it’s your turn to keep the momentum going. Follow up with recruiters. Submit applications promptly. Explore opportunities through Hire-A-Bobcat. Many employers are eager to hire Bobcats, and one thoughtful step, like sending a brief thank-you note, can set you apart.
