Assistant Director

Jess Duquette, OTD, OTR/L:
I have been an occupational therapist for over 20 years, with experience across healthcare,
higher education, and student mentorship. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology
with a minor in Human Development from Montana State University, my Master of Science
degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Washington University, and my Doctor of
Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Utah. I currently teach First-Year
Seminar courses at Montana State University, where I support students as they transition
into college and begin exploring their academic and career paths.
Throughout my career, I have worked closely with students at multiple levels, including
providing observation opportunities and supervising master’s and doctoral-level fieldwork
placements in occupational therapy. I enjoy getting to know students, meeting them
where they are, and helping them build confidence as they navigate their path toward
a career in a health profession.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, paddleboarding, watching my kids play sports, and
spending time with my two dogs.
