The Study Abroad Team is happy to announce that MSU has been awarded an Insititute of International Education (IIE) American Passport Project grant for the 2026-2027 academic year! IIE makes grants to U.S. colleges and universities in the IIENetworkso they can help U.S. students obtain a U.S. passport by providing fee money and support from MSU throughout the application process. 

To apply for this grant, you must be:

  • enrolled at MSU in Fall 2026
  • at least 18 years of age
  • Pell-eligible

Although encouraged, you are not required to study abroad to apply for the grant. All applications must be made by the end of the fall 2026 semester, December 17th. 

Students are encouraged to submit an application; however, final selection for funding is subject to a competitive review process.
