About the Program

The Pure Gold Recognition Program has long served as an opportunity to celebrate the exceptional contributions of Montana State faculty, staff, students and friends of the University. Whether through a single, extraordinary act or a sustained commitment to exemplary service, Pure Gold recognizes those who go above and beyond in support of MSU.

We invite you to thoughtfully consider those who embody the spirit of Pure Gold and submit a nomination using the form below. Please provide specific examples of their contributions and the impact they have made on our university community. Meaningful recognition begins with a meaningful nomination—help us acknowledge those who truly are Pure Gold.

Submission Guidelines

Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of MSU. All nominations must clearly describe the nominee’s contributions and impact on the university community.

  • A faculty or staff portrait photo must be submitted with each nomination
  • Nominations must meet established a maximum word count of 250 characters
  • People can send in no more than two submissions per semester
  • People should coordinate with their colleagues to avoid redundant submissions. (A group can coordinate to submit a name together.)
To further celebrate these individuals, Pure Gold recognitions will now be shared on a monthly basis. Each month, the Pure Gold honorees will be invited to a private luncheon with the President, where they will be celebrated on their contributions.
