Spring 2026 Final Week Schedule

The following tables outline the modified schedule for the final week of the semester for courses of two or more credits and appropriate course types.The Final Week of the semester is instructional time. Instructors are expected to use the Final Week period for final examinations, presentations, critiques or other summative assessments. If given, final examinations are to be administered during the scheduled time in the Final Week and may not be rescheduled or given prior to the start of the final examination period.  

Final examinations in one-credit courses and labs, independent studies, or recitations, if given, are administered prior to the Final Week. Any courses meeting the previously listed criteria do not meet during Final Week. Lectures, Studios, Seminars, and Lecture/Lab Combinations credited 2 or more credits are expected to use the Final Week period.

A student who has three or more final examinationson any one day or an exam schedule which exceeds 5 consecutive hours of examination should contact the instructors of the courses to see if one exam can be rescheduled. If this rescheduling can't be resolved, then the student should contact the assistant dean of their college at least one week before the beginning of final examination week to assist in resolving the conflict. 

The following table displays the time block schedule based on the start time of the first class meeting in a full week. For example,

                           M, W, or F between 8:35-9:30 a.m.                                 8:00-9:50 a.m., Monday, December 8

                            M, W, or F between 9:35-10:30 a.m.                              10:00-11:50 a.m., Wednesday, December 10

Courses granted a Common Final time are listed in the third dropdown menu. For example, M 121Q is listed in the Common Final Group A. The time at which the groups meet is indicated additionally on the table (Tuesday December 10th, 12:00 p.m.-1:50 p.m. for example). Sections of the common final courses identified in the table will meet at the corresponding time listed.  Please note that locations for common finals will likely be different than the usual meeting location(s) of the sections.  Students should confirm with their instructor where to meet for their common final course.
