Matthew Peter Campbell:  2017, B.S. in Civil Engineering, magna cum laude; minor in Music; 2021, posthumous M.S. in Transportation Engineering

So many favorite memories that Matthew would have had as a lifelong, very proud Bobcat: SmartyCats, Engineers Without Borders, Engineering Ambassador, Spirit of the West Marching Band, Jazz Band, playing at the Kennedy Center, serving as an ASMSU senator and Speaker Pro Tempore (and being part of the group that initiated the refurbishment of the new student memorial), and being selected as the top Engineering Excellence Senior for 2017.

Our family’s most cherished memory of our amazing son, Matthew, however, was the kindness shown to us after he died, especially the incredible tribute during the 2021 commencement ceremony dedicated to Matthew, his contributions to MSU, and the impact he made as a beloved (much too short!) lifelong Bobcat. Our family will never forget that, and the fact that our other surviving children also chose to become Bobcats after Matthew, has been incredibly meaningful to us. Matthew would have been so proud of his siblings.
