National 4‑H Conference delegates engage in personal development experiences that increase their knowledge, resources, and skills while they discuss topics affecting youth and 4‑H programming nationwide. Delegates are empowered to create positive social change in their communities and have the opportunity to practice and apply their skills in a real-world setting.

The National 4-H Conference is a working conference in which youth and adults assist in the development of recommendations to help guide 4-H youth development programs nationally and in their communities. Conference delegates are prepared, personally and professionally, to become more active participants within their communities and to effectively develop youth-adult partnerships for community action.

National 4-H Conference is held in Washington D.C. April 19-24, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia.

Youth must be 15-19 years old at the time of the program. The event is geared for juniors and seniors in high school.

National 4-H Conference is held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center. The National 4-H Youth Conference Center is located in a quiet, 12-acre campus-like setting in Maryland, one mile from the nation's capital, making it the perfect gateway to Washington, D.C.'s leaders, monuments, and museums. Now one of the largest non-academic youth education and conference facilities in America, the National 4-H Youth Conference Center has a colorful history that dates back more than a century. The Conference Center is operated by National 4-H Council.

National 4-H Conference registration cost is $920/youth delegate for double room occupancy which includes program activities and most meals.

Airfare and travel to/from airports and a couple meals are additional. Since our Montana Delegation will most likely need to arrive the day before, April 18, there will be one more night hotel cost in addition, the price for which is to be determined.Last year the additional night was approximately $240/delegate so the approximate total registration cost will be ~$1160/delegate plus transportation.

*The Montana Delegation of youth and chaperones will travel together departing from one of the larger Montana airports.

*We will have an orientation for our Montana Delegation for everyone to meet each other and be well prepared prior to Conference!
