What is 4-H?
4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 to 18.  Youth are involved in hands-on, experiential learning that allows learning by doing.  All 4-H programs focus on active involvement and quality experiences which stimulate lifelong learning of values and skills.

Who can join?
Youth, age 5 -18 as of October 1 of the current enrollment year, may join. Youth that are ages 8 and older are considered regular Youth Members. Youth that are ages 5-7 are considered Cloverbuds and have a more limited project selection (i.e Cloverbud Project, Horseless Horse, Cat, Rabbit Breed/Pet & Poultry Breed/Show ONLY).

What can I do in 4-H?
Popular projects include, dog obedience, baking, shooting sports, robotics, leathercraft, horse, livestock (ex. sheep, swine, poultry), and teen leadership are just a few of the many projects offered in 4-H. Check out the project list linked above to view the complete list for the current year.

When should I sign up?
Returning
4-H members must be re-enrolled by October 31st each year. New youth members must be enrolled by our county's 4-H enrollment deadline of March 1st to take advantage of all 4-H opportunities, including participation in the Fair. We encourage you to enroll sooner than later as you will miss out on important orientations, workshops and trainings as the year progresses.  **We do not encourage enrolling between March 1-Sept 30 as not many projects/clubs meet during this time and it is best to wait until Oct 1 of new 4-H year.
